About Justyna
Justyna was always immensely creative and artistic. From an early age, she began drawing and painting, eventually taking on commissions for drawings and oil paintings. At 15, she attended Art School full time, mastering oil painting, watercolour painting, drawing, sculpture, calligraphy, photography, model making and design.
During her education, Justyna was fortunate enough to participate in doll-making workshops, conducted by the world-famous British puppeteer, Dr Malcolm Knight. These were organised by the Puppet Centre in Lodz, Poland, The Ministry of Culture and Arts and the British Council. As a part of the programme, she learned the techniques of Commedia dell’arte—traditional mask making, as well as Bunraku Theatre. She also completed workshops in prosthetics, puppets, props, creature creation, sculpture, and moulding/casting for film, under the guidance of special effects master Grant Mason from Glasgow.
These workshops were a dream come true for Justyna. Portraits have always been her passion—be it in drawing, painting, sculpting and now in tattooing. Portraits of humans, animals and creatures are her favourite subjects.
Before starting her tattooing career in 2008, Justyna worked as a graphic designer, also accepting commissions for oil paintings, drawings and photographs. She sometimes found herself on the other side of the camera, modelling herself and her own tattoos. Her fascination with tattoos began in early childhood, simultaneous with her love for art.
In 2008, Justyna embarked on her successful tattooing career and moved to 15 Wood Street in Wakefield in 2016.
